Wellington Refrigeration was engaged by LT McGuinness to advise on design and build the specialist climate-controlled rooms required by NZ Archives for the storage of our historic Film and Photographic archives, complete with an acclimatisation room, and a Magnetic Media Store. We were engaged early in the project and worked closely with the designers, architects and engineers, bringing our practical experience to the table, producing two state-of-the-art seismically equipped cold stores.

Testimonial #1 – Archives Wellington Project:

“Working with Wellington Refrigeration on the Heke Rua Archives Wellington project was an absolute highlight. The outcome was outstanding, with virtually no defects aside from some minor sealant touch-ups in isolated areas, which speaks volumes about the quality and precision of their work. They were diligent during pre construction offering key solutions early on in the design phase which transitioned to a seamless install

The team’s professionalism and attention to detail made a significant difference. Their installation of the coolstore panelling was executed with care and clarity, and the Ceiling work was particularly impressive. Observations from site inspections noted the team’s clear communication and coordination, which contributed to the seamless delivery.

A special mention must go to Mark, the site manager, whose technical expertise, eye for detail, and extensive hours on site were instrumental in achieving such a high-quality result. His leadership and commitment ensured that every aspect of the installation met the highest standards, and his proactive approach helped resolve issues before they became problems.

I’d happily recommend Wellington Refrigeration for any future work. Their dedication to excellence, collaborative approach, and outstanding delivery make them a standout choice in the industry.”

Sam Mathews, the project supervisor (QS).

Testimonial #2 – Noted in construction documentation during construction:

“It was interesting to observe the WRL team installing the very thick insulation in the cool room, there was good and clear communication between the team which was good to see.”
